Join Us on Friday, March 28th, 2025 at Rider University for Processing Sandtrays and Working with Trauma: Application for Play Therapists with Dr. Linda Homeyer, Ph.D., LPC-S, RPT-S™. ​​​
This 6-hour seminar will focus on deepening skills in processing clients’ completed sandtray scenes and using the sand tray as a tool in trauma work. We’ll begin with in-depth exploration of sandtrays, covering foundational therapeutic powers of play, followed by techniques like eyes-on-trays, backdrops, add-ons, and figure play, all through a clinical theory lens. The afternoon session will introduce trauma-focused considerations, including a three-phase framework to integrate sandtray work with ongoing trauma therapy, enriching trauma narratives in play therapy.
